MATE Seeks Active International Cooperation Opportunities

Sixteen senior leaders from South African higher education institutions were hosted at MATE Szent István Campus in Gödöllő on 4 April. Dr. István Szabó, Vice Rector for Education and International Affairs, gave a detailed presentation on the structure and the range of courses offered by our university.

At the meeting, which aimed to introduce the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences, Dr. István Szabó Vice-Rector said that the university currently has partnerships with around 2,000 institutions in 113 countries and nearly as many international students on its campuses. He also talked about that MATE's priority is to expand its international relations, while at the same time seeking opportunities for active and meaningful international cooperation. He was therefore pleased to provide information on the institution's training system and the opportunities for international students.

The heads and staff of the MATE institutes and departments were also present at the professional exchange, who gave detailed answers to all the questions of the South African delegation members. Several areas of cooperation were identified and will be the subject of further discussions in the future.
