New Master programmes in English at MATE!
MSc in Aquaculture: (3 semesters) 3000 EUR/semester
The 3-semester Master’s in Aquaculture program at MATE offers a comprehensive education in aquaculture, focusing on both traditional carp farming and intensive freshwater aquaculture. The program, taught in English using well-equipped laboratories, covers topics such as fish biology, nutrition, health, and sustainable practices, preparing students for careers in fish farming, research, and related industries.

MSc in Ecotoxicology: (4 semesters) 2800 EUR/semester
The aim of the program is to train ecotoxicologist specialists who, with their acquired knowledge of natural, biological (primarily ecological and toxicological) and social sciences, are able to independently recognize ecotoxicological phenomena. They are familiar with the fundamental principles of the main methods in ecotoxicology and possible ways of their implementation. Graduates are able to evaluate and remediate environmental damage, as well as to put their work in a social context. Our certified ecotoxicologists can be employed in many areas of the labor market: industry, research-development-innovation, services, public administration and all areas where knowledge of environmental risk assessment conforming to the regulations of the European Union is required.

MSc in Viticulture and Oenology Engineering: (4 semesters) 3000 EUR/semester
The course aims to train certified engineers who:
- are familiar with the interdisciplinary basic sciences (natural and social sciences) on which their profession is based,
- are familiar with the characteristics, innovative and up-to-date achievements of the wine sector and the wine market, and with the millennia-old traditions of the sector,
- have an appreciation of the Hungarian culture and the European and international perspective of the sector, and are able to make use of the latest scientific and practical findings,
- are well informed about the basic principles of the operation of the wine-growing sector,
- are able to apply their knowledge in this specialised field on an international scale.

MSc in Biosystems Engineering: (3 semesters) 2800 EUR/semester
The aim of the 3-semester course is to train qualified professionals with interdisciplinary knowledge in the fields of engineering and agricultural sciences. Students graduating in the field of biosystems engineering will be able to manage agricultural farms, develop and operate technical and/or economic systems processes and manage business projects, and carry out professional management, planning, synthesis research and innovation activities. They will be able to apply their knowledge of data science and information technology to the management of agricultural-mechanical systems. T
